Gay Cruising Spots 2010- Manhatten

AMSTERDAM WITH GOOGLE EARTH AND SKETCH UP

While my students are of Interior Design Study Tour in Amsterdam following and created a great annual tradition in this school trip to Florence in 2002, I have stayed a while I also traveling Amsterdam on my computer with the help of Google Earth (GE and above) and the application of Sketch Up (SU onwards) mentioned in the previous release. As I said maliciously
Argentine commentator that I posted on it, it seems that Google wants to take over the world in three dimensions thanks to the generous cooperation Cartoonists of SU, but as we do not have that as pathological distrust of Hispanic Americans, I do not think that's bad that we return to Google part of what they give us with their technological advances. Especially since so enjoy all free.
As travel is extended to Hilversum and Utrecht GE've visited both cities and I felt great that neither the City of Dudock in the first or the famous Rietveld Schroeder house in the second were still drawn and uploaded to the famous world map.
in Amsterdam but I have been the surprise reverse: not only drawn some of its most important buildings, but someone has taken the trouble to climb Whole apples and apples with the volumes of each house.
By investigating a specific point and discuss the possibilities and development of the tool, I have focused on the Berlage Trade Exchange and I thought it extraordinary to revive the urban relationship between this magnificent building, the Central Station and the Oude Kerk peeking out from behind relationship that I captured the image I put up.
The three dimensional motion of the GE, just like the SU has allowed me to enjoy largely on the complexity of the roof of the building of the Bag:

And rising and turning as if in a helicopter can see again the relationship of the three buildings not only with the immediate surroundings of the old part of town but the surrounding area.

The problem arises when you want to zoom in and view the buildings from the perspective of a pedestrian. First, we see then that the designs on her follow the pattern of those nice paper cut-outs that some cities or sold as souvenirs, some architects were entertained to make or promote as a token of love for architecture (without going further, Rioja here on a small collection was launched some time ago). No objection to it. That's the level offered by GE and is SU very well.

But secondly, what happens is that when trying to move to enjoy the different perspectives of urban building you find that the program decays when the point of view clashes with the simple volumetric created around . Google offers the option of downloading each model and see your HIS quietly but that's not the thing. The case of the pioneers who have already drawn both in Amsterdam should move to Google's engineers to install another buttonwood in the left margin to turn these simple titrations which are fine for aerial perspectives but do nothing to help when you want to lose at street.
In any case, with Google, and thanks to all the cartoonists who have risen to their doodles GE SU. They visited the world more recognizable and understandable saving us many trips. Or put another way: with GE and SU I fear that the trip will change a lot. Of time and level of "study tour" I have the feeling I too with my students visiting Amsterdam.
